Nevesinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Nevesinje is a mountainous area that offers a diversity of quality outdoor recreation activities and attractions. It is the place where continental and Mediterranean climates mingle making a pleasant atmosphere in the summer and a unique experience on the snow in the winter. Velež is the highest mountain of the municipality with ideal places for walking or mountain biking. 

The mountain lakes on Velež and Morine are other significant natural resources in the municipality of Nevesinje. Also, the river Zalomka is known as the biggest underground river in Europe. Zalomka river flows through Nevesinje and most of it, during the summer, runs under the surface of the ground.
