Gacko, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The municipality of Gacko is located in the highest part of Herzegovina, the so called mountainous Herzegovina. 

Gacko has been a very important crossroad for the Dubrovnik and Roman trading transactions. Also, this place was known as a summer resort for the medieval Bosnian kings and noblemen of the Old Dubrovnik Republic.

One of the top resorts here is Tjentište, which belongs to the National Park. The place is suitable for development of recreational tourism, rural, ecotourism, and ethnic tourism.
