The monument on Banj brdo, Banja Luka

The monument of fallen Krajina soldiers during the World War II is located on „Banj brdo“, which dominates over Banja Luka. It is around 5 kilometers away from the city. The monument in the work of Antun Augustincic, one of the greatest Yugoslav sculptors.

It was made from white stone from Brač, with the unique form, and seems like a bullet in the direction of Krajina. On the frontage of the monument, above the entrance doors, there is a huge figure of a naked young man who holds a flag in his hand.  This place offers you a great panoramic view of Banja Luka and many paths for walking through wood and nature.
