The municipality of Kotor Varoš, known since ancient times for culinary specialties, is located in the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The municipality of Kotor Varoš, known since ancient times for culinary specialties, is located in the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This area is surrounded from all sides by mountain ranges of Uzlomak, Borje, Vlašić and Čemernica.
The municipality is characterized by richness in flora and fauna and water resources, among which the river Vrbanja dominates with its tributaries. Importan touristic sites in this area are waterfalls Vilenjska vrela and Skakavac, the mountains Uzlomac, Borja and Vlašić, the medieval city of Kotor, the monastery Liplje and medieval necropolis of ‘Stećaks’ Trzan-Glavica.
