Fortress Bočac

Fortress Bočac is located between Banja Luka and jajce, on the left bank of the river Vrbas. Built in the beginning of the XV century, it was fortress of banovina Jajce.

In the early XVIII century, Bočac was mentioned as a fort with only a few cannons. In the time of the Turkish occupation, it was once again fortified and maintained so the today's towers and walls, that surround the spacious yard of the town, are still well preserved.
