Ljubuški is a town and municipality in our country, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated in the West Herzegovina Canton that is actually a unit of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The 1991 census, the municipality of Ljubuški had a population of 28,340, of which 26,127 were Croats, 1,592 Bosniaks and 65 Serbs. This beautiful town was first time mentioned in 1444.

All in all, the name Ljubuški comes from the Slavic name "Libusa" - the first wife of the then ruler of Herzegovina "Herzeg Stjepan".
