Gračanica

Gračanica is municipality are with good conditions for cultural, religious, excursion, recreational, medical development. The city is located in the lower valley of the river Spreča along the main road from Tuzla to Doboj, about 50km west of Tuzla. 

The town was formed in the Middle Ages and from 1580 Gračanica began to develop into a regional and cultural urban centre for the dozens of rural settlemnets in the surrounding countryside.

If you decide to visit this place, check out the old town, with attractive homes and crafts shops. The old town is highlighted by the Ahmed-pasha or čaršija Mosque, built in 1595. Also, there is massive 27m clock tower, built at the end of the 16th century.

Health and recreational tourism, based on rich thermo-mineral waters, presents the most important touristic natural resource within the municipality area. The thermal water springs are used for therapeutic purposes, sports and recreation. There have been several thermal water pools constructed so far, and they are used only in summer.
