The Church of Saint Anthony of Padua is a Roman Catholic place as well as a national monument in Sarajevo. It is dedicated to the Franciscan friar Anthony of Padua.
The present Church of Saint Anthony of Padua was preceded by two places of worship dedicated to the same saint and built on the same site. The destructionof the old church was in 1912.
A new building, that is actually an example of Gothic architecture, is designed by Josip Vancaš. It was built by the end of the same year. Moreover, the church was not consecrated until September 1914, whilst the monastery church is not presently a parish church.
This church asserts to be the "church of all Sarajevans", because of bragging Muslim as well as Eastern Orthodox attendees.
