Lukomir is the most remote village in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This village lies at an altitude of 1,495 m on the Bjelašnica mountain.
There are also "Stećci", originating from the 14th and 15th century. Those "Stećci" exist at the village as well as suggest that it was inhabited for hundreds of years.
The homes in this place are made of stone, but the roofs are settled of wooden tiles. However, the canyon of the river Rakitnica is located nearby and is said to be the origin of a dragon by local folklore.
