Eiffel Bridge, Sarajevo

Eiffel bridge or iron Skenderija bridge is one of the bridges over the river Miljacka in Sarajevo. It is situated near the Sarajevo Skenderija.

The original bridge was built in the fifteenth century by the order of Skender Pasha, that in order to link constructions of its endowment with the banks of the river.

The bridge was built in 1893 with an iron gate. Supposedly designed in the bureau Gustave Eiffel, the builder of the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, but there is no document that proves it.
