Rama River

Rama is a river located in the municipality of Prozor - Rama. Nowadays, the source of Rama submerged with Rama lake near the village of Varvara.

The river flows towards the southeast, and in this way to the tributaries of Baden, Gračanica as well as Volujak.

Building Rama Lake cut the upper course of the Rama, while the lower flow significantly reduce the Jablanica lake.

The river is really shortened because of building the lake. In the Middle Ages the Rama area was really significant.

The river  is one of the largest tributary of the Neretva. Rama empties into the Neretva River a few kilometers before the Jablanica.
