The city is famous for Battle of the Neretva during World War II, and the blown-up bridge that partisans used to trick the Nazis still hangs from the high cliffs as a reminder of one of the partisans' greatest victories. Apart from this famous battle, Jablanica is known for its „jagnjetina“, lamb meat.
Neretva canyon and Lake Jablanica will offer you the possibility of engaging in water sports, kayaking and rafting, while mountains Prenj and Čvrsnica are ideal for hiking and relaxing.
