Arnaudija Mosque was also one of the most significant in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Arnaudija Mosque was also one of the most significant in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was built in 1594, and was a large mosque in Banja Luka.
Unfortunately, it was destroyed on 7 May 1993. The mosque was destroyed by explosives, by the Serb police force.
The destruction was organized by the dominion of theRepublika Srpska, that included the destruction of the whole complex of Arnaudija mosque as well as complex of Ferhadija mosque that were around 800 m from each other.
Afterwards, both mosques were dmolished in the same night within the time frame of 15 minutes.
