Trebinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Trebinje, the city that ranks with Mostar and Stolac in terms of beauty, is located in Bosnia and Herzegovina, only 28 km from the famous city of Dubrovnik. 

Some of the most known medieval monasteries such as St Paul and Peter's Monastery in Crnač, Petrovo polje , Monastery Zavala on the periphery of Popovo polje, Tvrdoš Monastery with its seat in The Eparchy of Zahumlje , Herzegovina and the Littoral, are located in Trebinje and its surroundings .

The city is known for its freshwater river, Trebišnjica that flows through the heart of the city and divides Trebinje in two parts. The military fortress build in the early 18th century, today's Old Town or Kastel, with its narrow lanes, arches, gates and antique stone buildings, Osman Pasha's mosque, the Museum of Herzegovina and numerous cafes and butiques are another well known places to visit in this beatiful city.
