Palenta or pura is traditional dish in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is made by boiling cornmeal into a thick, harden mush and immediately consumed after or baked or fried.
4 dcl of water (2 cups)
200 gr of polenta
1 spoon of salt
2 spoons of oil and 20gr of butter
yoghurt, cottage cheese, and garlic.
First of all, you need to boil water with salt and oil. Then, add palenta and keep stirring until the water has vaporized.
Then, pura is done, so you can move it aside. In a bowl, you can mix a cottage cheese or add yoghurt as well as garlic (if you like).
Serve one or two spoons of Pura, cover with mixture of cheese and yoghurt and put just a bit of melted butter on top.
