Zelengora Mountain

Zelengora is a mountain range in the Sutjeska National Park of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the true beauty among the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina with 9 beautiful glacial lakes scattered all over the mountain. 

Zelengora is filled with very rich flora and fauna. It is possible to see Black bear feasting with blueberries which grow all over the place. Spring and autumn are the best season to visit Zelengora since the mountain is filled with beautiful colors. During the summer it can get to hot but it is possible to cool in one of the lakes enjoying fresh water and beautiful mountain view.

Mountain Zelengora has a lot to offer. One of the advantages is the great wealth of drinking water and many streams and springs  that can be seen everywhere. Also, the lakes on Zelengora mountain offer a great opportunity for making stunning photographs. In summer, it is possible to swim in some of these lakes and also the mountain itself is perfect for relaxation, hiking, collecting herbs, berries, mashrooms, or walking and biking.

The best time to hike is spring and autumn, then the view and the nature is in its best. In winter temperatures go far below zero, and summers can be quite . Mountain definitely deserves the tittle of the most beautifull Dinaric mountain.
