Regional Museum, Visoko

Visoko is a city and municipality in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was an early centre of the Bosnian medieval state, as well as the place where the first Bosnian king Tvrtko I was crowned.

Visoko is situated between Zenica and Sarajevo. It is second largest town in the Zenica-Doboj Canton. There is a homeland museum in Visoko that promotes the cultural as well as historic inheritance of the Visoko region.

Most of the exhibits in this museum are importortant and related to the medieval Bosnian state. There are many objects in the museum as well as documents from Middle Ages.

One is a fragment of the old castle and town of Visoki. The director of the museum is Senad Hodović.
