Una river was named by the Romans, who were so taken by its beauty when they first saw it that they named it “UNA” (lat. one, the only). It runs for 212.5 kilometres from the springs in Donja Suvaja and Donji Lapac areas, to the confluence with Sava river.

And indeed by its beauty, by its whirlpools and waterfalls, by its course and its air it certainly is unique, the most beautiful of all Bosnian rivers.

These natural waterfalls present a unique value that has been attracting a large number of nature lovers, fishermen and artists for decades. Traditionally, the international Una Regatta takes place on this river every year. Bihać and Una are famous across Europe for white water rafting, so it attracts large number of people from all parts of the world. 

There are four routes on Una river that you can go rafting and it is up to you to select the one most suitable for you:

1) STRBACKI BUK – LOHOVO  
The most exciting and challenging route 15 kilometers or 3,5 to 4 hours long with plenty smaller and bigger waterfalls.

2) KOSTELA – GRMUSA  
Less demanding route that goes through the lower canyon of Una river.

3) KOSTELA – BOSANSKA KRUPA
The longest route, good for those who want to spend more time on Una rapids.

4) MARTIN BROD – KULEN VAKUF
An easy and relaxing rafting route with no big waterfalls and many small rapids. Ideal route for families with children and those who want to experience the river Una in a calm and relaxing way.
