Bosnian cuisine is balanced between Western and Eastern influences. Bosnian people uses many spices, but usually in moderate quantities. Most dishes are light, as they are cooked in lots of water.

The sauces are fully natural, consisting of little more than the natural juices of the vegetables in the dish. Bamija is also traditional Bosnian dish.

It has the following ingredients: stew meat, okra, tomatoes, garlic, and onion, seasoned with spices, salt, pepper, water, cumin, coriander and oil.

First of all, the meat is brown in a saucepan with garlic, onion, tomatoes. Then is added okra and all the spices that are left. It can be served as an independent dish or with a salad and rice. Bamija is really a simple, but delicious dish.
