In the lower part there is a monument dedicated to the Children of Sarajevo killed between 1992-1995. During the Austro-Hungarian period, an area around the old Muslim cemetery was urbanized.
Veliki Park is crisscrossed by little passages that lead one in many directions amongst the old tombstones. Veliki Park is an ideal place to rest as you make your way through the center of Sarajevo.
