Fresh water ecosystems have endured from the population and the associated development stress. One of the most important unaffected resources of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as Croatia, is its freshwater resource.

It is located between the major regional rivers: Drina river on the east, Una river on the west and the Sava, the river Neretva contains the most important source of drinking water. The Neretva is notable, regarding its ecosystems and habitats, flora and fauna, cultural and historic heritage.

All in all, you need to spend time near the river and the other precious parts of the beautiful Mostar.
