Trebinje is the southernmost municipality and city in BiH. It is part of the Republika Srpska entity. The Trebišnjica river flows through the center of the city.

One of the most beautiful arch bridges built by the Ottomans in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the examples of Ottoman architecture is the Arslanagic bridge. It was originally built 10 km upstream from its present location.

It is a unique structure that was originally built  five kilometres north of Trebinje in 1574 by Mehmed-pasha Sokolovic, but the bridge got its name in the 17th from Arslan-aga.  He set up a toll collection center near the bridge.
