Hurmašice is shaped Bosnian pastry drenched in a sweet syrup. The necessary ingredients for this dessert are plain flour, butter, eggs, yoghurt, sugar, honey, water, lemon juice, walnuts and vanilla sugar. At the beginning is preparing the cream that must be a foam from boiled butter, sugar, walnuts and eggs that is left to cold.

When the hurmasice are ready and hot they are covered with cold foam and left to cold. While the syrup is nice and it’s probably what makes them more authentic, you can feel free to skip this step if you’re watching your sugar intake.
