Vrelo Bosne

Vrelo Bosne, in the municipality of Ilidža, is one of the country's popular natural landmarks and the most beautiful and visited park in Sarajevo.  

The whole area is one big park criss-crossed with waterways that are bridged together with bridges and paths for walking or cycling. Along trails visitors can relax on benches, many of which are covered with roofs that will protect you from the rain. What is particularly interesting for the children who come here with their parents are birds, ducks and swans that carefree swim by rivers.

A Roman Bridge is located not far from Vrelo Bosne on the Bosna river in the Ilidža municipality, which was built sometime between 1530 and 1550 from the original Roman.

The spring water at Vrelo Bosne is drinkable, however not recommended. Source of river Bosna is famous local place for rest, picnic and enjoy in nature. On a typical year more than 60,000 tourists visit the park. There is a long alley, where you can walk or you can take a carriage to experience drive through the beautiful alley.
