Nakon trudnoće, kao i većina žena Emiliy je dobila višak kilograma. 

Kada je shvatila da su se stvari izmakle kontroli izbacila je iz ishrane ono što je jela najviše i sada izgleda kao car. Ono što je Emili Puglieli doživjela videvši sliku sebe sa 138kg bilo je dovoljno da shvati da je vreme za promjenu. Nova svakodnevna rutina dovela je liniju ove Amerikanke do savršenstva.

– Imala sam puno problema sa šećerom i hljebom. Izbacila sam ih iz ishrane, kao i čipseve i većinu drugih ugljenih hidrata. To mi je pomoglo – kaže Emili.

Ona je svaki dan radila tri stvari – hodala, sama spremala hranu i bazirala ishranu na vrlo malo ugljenih hidrata.

 

Just wanted to say thank you to all my new followers and share some of my story. In 2012 someone sent me a picture of myself and I was very unhappy with my appearance. (top left) I decided it was time to change! I weighed over 300 lbs ???? I did some research and changed my diet drastically. I lost 102 pounds in one year! ???? I continued to lose weight, but in 2014 my legs started to feel funny and I was sent for an MRI which resulted in some bad news! I had a fracture in my vertebrae at L5/S1, I had no disc left and severe stenosis pinching off the nerves to my legs. (bottom right before and after) August 2014 I had a 10 hour surgery where they went through my stomach to realign my spine and place an artificial disc, then they harvested a piece of my hip. Once they finished there they flipped me over and opened my back to place 6 screws, 2 rods, and my hip bone into my spine to hold everything together. Recovery was ROUGH! I needed a walker for about 3 weeks and could not fully lift my left leg. It was more pain than I ever imagined a person could go through. Six months later I could go on the treadmill and ride a bike so I joined a gym for the first time ever! With the help of an amazing trainer I slowly regained my mobility and have accomplished more than I ever thought I would. In July 2016 I finally met my goal of losing 150 lbs ???????????? Anything is possible, never give up on your dreams and never EVER let your diagnosis define you!

Nakon godinu dana smršala je 46kg. A, onda je počela naporno da trenira. Ova žena nije dozvolila ni da je operacija leđa spriječi da ostvari svoj cilj.

– Sada mogu mnogi više stvari da uradim fizički, a stekla sam i ogromno samopouzdanje koje mi je pomoglo u svim sferama života. Probam nove stvari i družim se sa ljudima. Sada se nadam da će moj put biti podsjetnik mojoj deci na to da se upornost uvijek isplati i da je u životu sve moguće podstići. A, ja svaki dan podsećam sebe da nikada ne smijem sebe da stavim na poslednje mjesto – navodi Emili.
